Job Summary

The Philadelphia Community Stakeholders (PCS) is seeking to hire a reliable, dynamic, well-organized Program Coordinator to handle day-to-day operations for a three-month pilot of a Community Education Learning Pod and Parent Resource Center.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for launching and managing a three-month pilot; identifying and collaborating with numerous agencies and organizations to bring needed access to information and resources to support children and families during the COVID-19 pandemic and working closely with several school districts.

Strong candidates will possess excellent vision, strategy, management and leadership skills, as well as documented experience related to program design, operations, communications, partnerships, and strong technology skills.

Essential Functions

• Work closely with the Project Director, Site Director and PCS Educational Leadership Team to set the strategic direction of the Community Education Learning Pod & Resource Center, including successful implementation of a three-month pilot, !
Facilitating access to comprehensive, evidence-based programs, practices, and information for residents !
• Cultivate and maintain a safe, excellent, community-welcoming environment, !
• Coordinate efforts that will help parents/caregivers receive support for their children !
Identify partners and resources for students and their families to address learning gaps !
• Plan and implement community events and outreach events!
• Identify and coordinate efforts to address and help with the reduction of Community
Trauma related to the education and well-being of children and families.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Education, or a related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree!
• Documented experience using G Suite applications including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Google Meet. !
• Documented experience using Zoom. !
• A minimum of 3 years of directly relevant work experience. !
• Close attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead !
• Ability to work under pressure !
• Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.
                                      
Salary: $6,000.00 - $8,500.00 (Three months)

The Site Director will be responsible for launching and managing a three-month pilot; identifying and collaborating with numerous agencies and organizations to bring relevant information and resources to support children and families during the COVID-19 pandemic and working closely with several school districts.

Successful candidates will possess excellent vision, strategy, management and leadership skills, as well as documented experience related to program design, operations, communications, partnerships, and strong technology skills.

Essential Functions

• Work closely with the Project Director and PCS Educational Leadership Team to set the strategic direction of the Community Education Learning Pod & Resource Center, including successful implementation of a three-month pilot;
• Ensure compliance with Center for Disease Control, Pa. Dept of Health and Philadelphia Health Department guidelines, procedures, and regulations relevant to operating a facility of this type
• Cultivate and maintain a safe, educationally excellent, community-welcoming environment;
• Lead day-to-day and overall project management, supervise and manage performance of the CELC staff, solve problems as they arise, and ensure that program objectives are met
• Help to hire and onboard the staff and volunteers, • Implement a communication plan to ensure staff understand and have the practical knowledge needed to successfully operate a CELC;
• Work closely with multiple agencies and organizations to share learning and best practices with diverse audiences;
• Facilitate close, results-based partnerships with the community, students, and partners;
• Develop, collect and report on metrics and quality-control measures to track both process and outcome measures for the CELC pilot, including, but not limited to, number of people receiving services, and the types of services requested.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Public Policy, Education, Public Health, or a related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 7 years of directly relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of management experience.
• Knowledge of the education systems in Philadelphia.
• Relevant experience supervising staff in an educational setting
• Documented experience successfully managing departments and;
• Documented experience working successfully with Community-Based Organizations.
                                       
Salary: $7,000.00 - $9,500.00 (Three months)

The Philadelphia Community Stakeholders (PCS) is seeking to hire reliable, dynamic, well-organized Instructors to work with students, Kindergarten through Grade 5 for a three-month pilot of a Community Education Learning Pod and Parent Resource Center.

The Instructors will be responsible for working with students learning virtually and contributing to students learning, growth and advancement. Instructors will collaborate with parents/caregivers to provide an environment that is safe, engaging, socially and emotionally stable.

Essential Functions

• Contributes to student learning, growth, and advancement.
• Demonstrates academic competence in subject area(s) and ability to navigate existing curriculum.
• Maintains a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice. • Facilitates problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking skills.
• Collaborates effectively with parents and the schools to increase student performance.
• Invests in the learners’ well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially, and emotionally.
• Recognizes the relationship between social-emotional learning and academic performance and shows an ability to teach the “whole child.”
• Designs and facilitates differentiated and personalized learning goals and activities that follow a coherent sequence, are aligned to Instructional goals, and engage students in high-level cognitive activity.
• Adheres to and directs students in following all health and safety requirements relevant to maintaining a COVID-19 free environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or subject-matter field preferred
• Recent teaching experience a plus
• Documented experience in organizing small group instruction
• Documented experience using educational materials to further demonstrate subject matter mastery
• Ability to assess the progress of assigned students
• Documented experience in planning and delivering creative lessons to engage and educate students
• Ability to maintain a well-organized, safe and stimulating workspace that is an encouraging and welcoming environment for students upon their entering of the CELP
• Ability to connect with parents and keep them informed of student's progress and areas to be improved
• Promote high standards for academic success and behavior and continually encourage students to meet them.
                                        
Salary: $7,800.00 – 12,000.00 (Three months)
